The origins of Papa’s Golden Spur BBQ sauce began in the 1950s but it wasn’t until 2017 when the family recipe was finally bottled by Carl and Dana Dees in Canton, Georgia.

Carl and Dana had a big goal: share the unique family recipe with the world. The sauce has been sold at the Canton Farmer’s Market as well as several Ace Hardwares in the local area.

Dana passed away in 2024 from cancer but today her legacy lives on through the amazing barbecue sauce she bottled.
